Notifications

Alerts that respect your schedule.

Getting pinged at 11pm about a freight train is not useful. Set the hours you actually commute and we'll stay quiet the rest of the time. Notifications fire when one of your favorites goes blocked.

04 Made in Portland.

Made in Portland.
Built for the nation.

We started in Portland because the problem is acute here. Freight trains park across SE Division for hours. Commuters lose mornings. Emergency vehicles reroute. The crossing data people needed wasn't readily available, so we built it.

What we learned in Portland scales. The platform is built for any city with at-grade crossings, freight rail conflicts, or grade separation conversations underway.

05 In practice

What our users say.

What stood out was how easy they were to engage with and how quickly they understood our use case. The ability to anticipate train crossings near our office has saved us time and removed a recurring frustration for the team. It’s one of those small operational improvements that adds up quickly.

Laurel Burton CEO, Instrument

TrainSnap solved a small but constant issue for our team. Instead of getting stuck waiting on trains, we can now avoid those delays altogether. It’s saved us time, reduced frustration, and helped keep our team’s schedules reliable.

Rachel Coddington Senior Director of Events and Experiences

I didn’t know it was possible to set up a service like TrainSnap until we got it for our office. Being able to see when a train is coming keeps my day moving. It’s helped me avoid a calendar pinch on many occasions.
